GM säger nej till Saab-försäljningen

I ett brev från GMs finansdirektör James R Cain framgår att den amerikanska biljätten visserligen kan tänka sig fortsatta leveranser av komponenter som motorer till Saab, men att man inte accepterar att leverera den Mexikobyggda Saab 9-4 X eller ge tillstånd att licensiera ut teknik med de kinesiska företagen som ägare.

Detta skulle inte gynna GMs aktieägare.

Så här lyder det korta meddelandet från James R Cain:

"Good morning/afternoon.

General Motors is issuing a new statement to to reflect its position on issues related to the sale of Saab.

Although General Motors is open to the continued supply of powertrains and other components to Saab under appropriate terms and conditions, GM will not agree to the continuation of the existing technology licenses or the continued supply of 9-4X vehicles to Saab following the proposed change in ownership as it would not be in the best interests of GM shareholders.

This may be attributed to me as a company spokesperson, or to the company generally.
